1. 两全其美 (liǎng quán qí měi)
kill two birds with one stone This literally means “two sides are both good”. It implies a state of satisfying both related sides with the same matter, and can plainly be translated as killing two birds with one stone.
For example: 我喜欢上Jessie老师的课，既能学中文，又能学英文，真是两全其美。 wǒ xǐ huān shàng Jessie lǎo shī de kè, jì néng xué zhōng wén, yòu néng xué yīng wén, zhēn shi liǎng quán qí měi. I like taking teacher Jessie's class, I can learn both Chinese and English, kill two birds with one stone.
2. 二话不说 (èr huà bù shuō) to act quickly without saying another word
This means not saying anything further (idiom); not raising any objection. Or you can define it as doing something without demur.
For example: 他二话不说就把钱借给我了。 tā èr huà bù shuō jiù bǎ qián jiè gěi wǒ le. He lent me the money right away./normalpara>
3. 三长两短 (sān cháng liǎng duǎn) to be in danger This means unforeseen disaster, something unfortunate (usually involving death).
For example: 我儿子要是有个什么三长两短，我唯你是问。 wǒ ér zi yào shi yǒu gè shén me sān cháng liǎng duǎn, wǒ wéi nǐ shì wèn. You’ll be held responsible if anything happens to my son.
4. 六神无主 (liù shén wú zhǔ) to be in a state of stupefaction (from emotional shock) This idiom actually has a connection to Taoism. In Taoism, the heart, lung, liver, kidneys, spleen, and gallbladder are controlled by six separate gods.
As a result, “六神无主” literally means “six gods lost their mind.” Actually, in daily life, it’s used to describe someone who is “in a state of emotional shock.”
For example: 我被这件事吓得六神无主。 wǒ bèi zhè jiàn shì xià de liù shén wú zhǔ. I was scared and felt shocked because of this thing.
5. 万无一失 (wàn wú yī shī) foolproof This idiom is used to express that you're very confident that there’s no way something would go wrong or fail. It also can be defined as even something is happening ten thousand times, there wouldn't be a single failure or mistake.
For example: 这个食谱绝对管用，每次都万无一失。 zhè ge shí pǔ jué duì guǎn yòng, měi cì dōu wàn wú yī shī. This recipe is foolproof, it works every time.
