Simple sentences in Chinese are very straightforward. Let's see what order you should follow to make a sentence in Mandarin Chinese. In Chinese, the basic sentence order is:

Structure
[Subject] + [Verb] + [Object]

Example
Here are a few examples using two of the most common verbs in Chinese: 是 (to be) and 有 (to have).

EXAMPLE
我 是 美国人。
wǒ shì měi guó rén.
I am American.
你 有钱。
nǐ yǒu qián.
You have money.


Complex Sentences
Now that you have the basic sentence structure down pat, it’s time to move on to more complex sentences.

[Subject] + [When + Where + How] + [Action]

Example:
A. 她明天去机场。
She is heading to the airport tomorrow.
